A reminder of what the Board of Education actually does:

Responsibilities of the Board

  2. Set goals and develop a vision for the district.
  3. Build community support and promote understanding of public education.
  4. Develop academic standards based on high expectations.
  5. Hire a superintendent of schools.
  6. Take action on matters only after consulting with the superintendent.
  7. Attract and retain excellent staff members.
