Many thanks to all who participated in our 17th Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Bartlett Pond Park on Monday, May 26th. The weather was perfect for honoring our fallen. We unveiled several newly engraved names on the Vietnam and GWOT memorials and presented medals and hats to two Longwood Veterans and families. As always, our local scout groups, especially Troops 433 & 560 and Pack 625, presented the
colors, and our MI, Coram and Yaphank Fire Depts placed wreaths at the eight granite monuments. The Longwood BOE and Superintendent played important roles, and the wonderful LHS Choral Lions made their Bartlett debut, under the direction of Brendan Sparks. God Bless the thousands of men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Treasure and honor their memory always!
