In memory of Pearl Harbor Day, Bartlett Pond Park’s newly planted 8 foot blue spruce will be lit with red, white and blue lights on Saturday, December 7th, 2013. We will light the tree at 12:48 pm, which will be 7:48 am in Hawaii, the time the Day of Infamy began 72 years ago. Virginia Eagle will serve as our official tree lighter; her late husband’s tale of surviving the Attack on Pearl Harbor inspired the Longwood Veterans History Project and the 7 granite monuments at BPP.
