Please join us for this year’s Gold Star Families Day Recognition Ceremony, to be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 1:00pm at Bartlett Pond Park in Middle Island.
As those of you who have previously attended well know, this is a very poignant event, one of the few held on Long Island. This is traditionally a smaller, briefer ceremony than Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and we gather near the Gold Star monument.
We are grateful to be able to continue this important tradition. We must not forget the sacrifices of our Gold Star families and their loved ones. You need not be a Gold Star Family to attend. Understandably, some of these families are so bereaved they are unable to be present, but they find comfort in knowing we REMEMBER.
