Many thanks to all who braved the weather to attend the historic marker unveiling at Artist Lake on Sat, March 4, 2023. This marker was made possible by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation and celebrates the artistic contributions of famed painter Alonzo Chappel, who lived nearby from 1870-1887. After the unveiling, we enjoyed a presentation about Chappel by Suzanne Johnson at Longwood Public Library. Special thanks to William G. Pomeroy Foundation, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Edward P.
